Traffic Light Distance Sensor
Description
A RBG LED changes colors from green to yellow, and then from yellow to red as an object approaches closer to the LED light. This is accomplished using a proximity distance sensor to detect the distance of an approaching object.
The proximity distance sensor is the Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F model. When an object is greater than 30cm from the sensor, the LED light is green. The RBG light changes to yellow when an object is between 20-30 cm from the sensor, and finally, the RBG LED turns red if an object is less than 20 cm away. Additionally, three 330 ohm resistors were used to control current through RBG LED light.
